Real Estate & Forestry
Our investment strategy encompasses a broad spectrum, including residential and commercial real estate, as well as forestry projects. We emphasise responsible land management and actively engage in destination development. Through practical strategies and a comprehensive approach, we navigate diverse aspects of real estate, contributing to the development and enhancement of various landscapes.
Projects
Drammen Travbane
We are, in collaboration with Buskerud Trav Eiendom AS, set to establish a new compact city center in Åssiden, Drammen.
Changes in the requirements for public facilities in harness racing have resulted in the significant availability of land resources adjacent to Drammen Travbane and other race tracks. This creates an opportunity to develop a forward-thinking city center for Åssiden, the largest district in Drammen.
The vision is to construct a large and compact city center with more than 1 000 residential apartments and commercial areas, providing the district with a much-needed meeting place. Additionally, it aims to offer a compact range of retail and services that are currently lacking in Åssiden.
Østfold Helsepark
We are, with partners, in a process to develop a leading health-cluster bordering the new hospital in Østfold.
We own approximately 50 hectare of property that borders the hospital. The site is intended to accommodate a wide range of health-related industries with various connections to the hospital's activities. About 18 hectare of our area is included in the new municipal plan.
The hospital, in connection with Østfold Helsepark, will significantly boost development and innovation in the region. By creating a dedicated space for a variety of health-related industries and enterprises, this initiative aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem that supports medical research, healthcare services, and technological advancements.
Skorovas Bruk
When we initially entered Namdalen, we acquired 81 600 hectare of land, making it the largest privately owned property in Norway at that time. Subsequently, approximately 67 600 hectare of the property have been divested, leaving us with 14 000 hectare in Skorovas.
Skorovas is a former mining community located in the Namsskogan municipality, bordering Røyrvik and Grong municipalities. Nestled in the southeastern part of Namsskogan, Skorovas was historically a community with 600-700 residents. Today, it is evolving into a popular cabin and holiday destination. Skorovas offers a wild and untamed atmosphere with its towering mountains, diverse wildlife, and expansive natural areas, providing some of the best fishing lakes, hunting grounds, ski trails, and hiking paths in Norway.
Currently, we are engaged in several development areas in the region:
-
Forest Management: Involves the stewardship of forests, leasing of hunting and fishing rights, and the management of cabins.
-
Destination Development: Encompasses the creation of a mountain village with shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, fitness centers and conference facilities, as well as plans for approximately 1 000 cabins.
-
Reopening of the Skorovas Mine: Exploration initiatives surrounding the Skorovas Ore Bodies.
This multifaceted project aims to contribute to the sustainable development and revitalisation of Skorovas, preserving its natural beauty and heritage while creating a thriving and modern community.
Vangslia Fjellandsby
Oppdal offers a diverse range of experiences, with Oppdal Skisenter standing out as one of Norway's largest alpine resorts. The area boasts a total of four connected ski lift facilities (Vangslia, Hovden, Stølen, and Ådalen), making it a sought-after destination for both locals and visitors alike.
We are currently in the process of constructing an extensive ski-in ski-out cabin area of approximately 70-100 cabins in the Vangslia area, further enhancing the appeal of this remarkable location.
